Ever looked in the mirror and thought, “Are my eye bags just my face now?”

Turns out, there are plenty of things you can do if under-eye bags are an issue for you, and some of them are surprisingly simple. This video by dermatologist Dr Sam Ellis contains genuinely helpful, expert advice that’s easy to understand and simple to implement.

Eye bags are a big concern for me, and I know it’s the same for many of the women over 50 I speak to every week.

What actually causes them? Are there products that really help? Or is surgery the only answer? These are exactly the questions many of us with eye bags quietly ruminate over.

In this video, Dr Sam explains the different types of eye bags (yes, there’s more than one), how to work out which type you have, talks through potential skincare treatments for each type, and answers the big question about whether surgery is the only option.

I discovered that my own eye bags are linked to fat loss in the area, which finally gave me a clearer plan for what I can do to reduce their appearance (or at least disguise the puff a bit better).
