There’s a new name in beauty this week, and it’s one worth paying attention to. Carisa Janes, the founder of Hourglass Cosmetics, has just launched a new brand called Outside In, and the early reviews are already sounding promising.

The debut lineup is small (always a good sign), focused, and firmly in the skincare-meets-makeup category. Think radiant skin and lightweight coverage rather than heavy layers and full glam.

The star product is the Silk Serum Foundation, available in 25 shades, and described as hydrating, smoothing, and lightweight, with skincare-grade ingredients built in. The formula claims to give a natural, luminous finish (not flat, not shiny, just that elusive ‘expensive skin’ look). Also in the first drop is a facial oil designed to prep, nourish, and support the skin barrier.

Packaging-wise, it’s sleek, refillable in parts, and feels premium, which isn’t a shock considering Janes’ track record with Hourglass.

Have I tried it yet?
Not yet, but I’m curious. Very curious, and I’ll write a review as soon as I have.

If you like hybrid formulas, mature-skin-friendly textures, and that modern ‘skin, but better’ finish, this brand might be one to watch.
